Peanuts It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown Snoopy at the Party Production Cel Setup with Custom Background (Bill Melendez, 1966). "What in the world kind of costume is that?" asks Lucy in her witch costume, as Snoopy enters the party. "He's a World War I Flying Ace," says Charlie Brown, in his ghost costume with too many holes ( "I had a little trouble with the scissors," he says). Snoopy's imaginary WWI hero is a fan-favorite whenever he appears, and here's a great full-figure pose in an original hand-inked, hand-painted multi-cel setup, standing about 2" tall. Anytime the Flying Ace appears, it's very collectible, but coming from It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown adds a special importance. You can see Snoopy and Lucy at the 9:20 mark; the other two figures appear around the same time, just slightly apart. The cels are placed on a custom hand-painted background, added for presentation purposes. Setup is in a custom-decorated mat with an opening of 10.5" x 9", and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 17" x 15.25". On back of the frame is a Certificate of Authenticity with a Bill Melendez signature stamp. The frame is sold as-is. Cel setup is in Fine condition.
