Description
Peanuts It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown Sally and Linus Production Cel (Bill Melendez, 1966). "Linus knows what he's talking about. Linus knows what he's doing. Alright, where is he?" Sally asks Linus after she defends him to the Peanuts crew about the "Great Pumpkin." Linus says, "He'll be here!" And so, another Halloween comes -- and goes -- in this classic Emmy Award-nominated TV Special based on the Charles Schulz comic strip, which premiered on CBS on 10/27/1966; in fact, it continues to air every October. This is a rare hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of both Sally and Linus in the pumpkin patch, awaiting the arrival of the mythical Great Pumpkin. Sally has stood by her man, and given up trick or treating for candy to stay with Linus out in the cold! Cel has a studio seal and a Certificate of Authenticity on the reverse, hand-signed by director Bill Melendez. Great images, with approximate figure sizes of 4". Cel is paired with a print background and print overlay of the pumpkin patch for display purposes. Matted with an opening of 12" x 8", and framed under Plexiglas for an overall size of 19" x 15".
