Peanuts A Boy Named Charlie Brown Lucy and Linus Production Cel (Bill Melendez, 1969). "My blanket... I can't be without it!" From the first feature length film starring the characters from Charles Schulz Peanuts, offered here is an original production cel of Lucy and Linus Van Pelt. The hand-inked hand-painted image of both characters in full-figure measures 6" x 5.5" on cels trimmed to 9" x 10". They are presented over a print background for presentation purposes. This classic scene from the first Peanuts theatrical feature starts around the 26:00 mark as Lucy declares that it's time for Linus to give up his blanket. It's a perfect composition highlighting these siblings and their never-ending battle over Linus' dependence on his security blanket. This is a tremendous piece dating back to over 50 years ago would be the perfect addition to any Peanuts or animation collection. The art shows minor handling and cels have been stapled to the background along the bottom border. Condition is Very Good.Auction Info
