Palm Springs Caveman Production Cel Signed by Pete Docter (1989). Pete Docter has made quite a name for himself at Pixar. He's been nominated for eight Oscars (winning two), and seven Annie Awards (winning five) as a director for animated films like Monsters, Inc. and Up. His early student films were very clever; this hand-painted 12 field cel of an orange caveman is from his second short, Palm Springs; this is from the scene where Caveman tells the Dinosaur to quit jumping on the palm tree. It's a small but powerful full-figure image, measuring 4", and is hand-signed and inscribed to Spike to the right of the art. Very cool early art from a very important figure in Modern Animation! Fine condition. From the Spike and Mike Festival of Animation Archives.
