Officer Duck Pete Production Cel and Key Master Background (Walt Disney, 1939). "Pick up Tiny Tom, bring him in dead or alive. That is all." That is what Officer #13 Donald Duck hears on his radio dispatch. He knocks on the door and is expecting a "Tiny" person, only to be met by a HUGE cigar-smoking Pete, who is Tiny Tom. This is a full 12 field hand-inked, hand-painted nitrate production cel of Pete as he meets Officer Donald at his door. The image is an amazing 7" x 10". The cel is on its 12 field Key Master hand-painted production background. Studio stamps are on backside of the background art. Notes indicate John Lounsbery was the animator for this scene. Date stamp on back is April 21, 1939. Clyde Geronimi directed this short; it was released on 9/22/39. Key Master setups with a full nitrate cel from this era are rare. The background has a major rip in center behind Pete. A clear sheet of acetate is over the back of the background and holds all art in place. Matted, in Good condition.
