Neon Genesis Evangelion "The Beast" Eva Unit 01 Production Cel (Gainax, 1995). The emblematic Eva Unit 01 looks ferocious in this incredible hand-painted production cel from the second episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion, "The Beast," with most of its area occupied by the biomechanical giant in Berserk mode. Premiering in Japan on October 11, 1995 (almost 30 years ago!), this episode started with the aftermath of the fight that began in the first one, saving the gripping battle for the last minutes. Featuring a shading distinctive to anime and the iconic color palette of the famous mecha, this 12-field production cel has the Eva 01 measuring a remarkable image size of 10.25" x 8", appearing at the 19:59 timestamp. Light fading can be seen on the linework. With minor handling and edge wear from production, the lot is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
