Neon Genesis Evangelion "Moment and Heart Together" Eva Unit 01 Production Cel with Production Background (Gainax, 1995). After Asuka seems to defeat the seventh angel, Israfel, by cutting it in half, the angel reveals its hidden ability by splitting into two separate angels. Misato then realizes that the only way to defeat them is by simultaneously attacking both cores. Now, Shinji and Asuka must coordinate their movements perfectly if they want to succeed in their mission. At about the 20:08 mark of Episode 9 of Neon Genesis Evangelion, as the Eva Unit 01 lands after a synchronized attack, we get this great image of the powerful mech. Measuring 10.25" x 8" on the two-layer 12 field sized hand-painted production cel, the Eva 01 looks incredibly fierce, a great image for the mighty mech. The cel, numbered A30 in the top right corner, is presented on a production background from a different anime, numbered 227 in the top right corner, rendered in gouache on background board, and measuring an image area of 13.25" x 9.25". The cel layers are stuck together and taped by the top corners. Some paint wear and light fading can be seen on the artwork. Overall, the lot shows minor handling and edge wear from production and is in Very Good condition.
