Presented is a spectacular hand-painted original production cel featuring Eva Unit 01 from Hideaki Anno's landmark anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. Making an enormous impact on Japanese pop culture after its premier in 1995, Evangelion has had a strong influence on anime that can still be felt today. It is widely credited with expanding anime fandom into a global phenomenon, alongside such monumental titles as Dragon Ball and Pokémon. This large image of the iconic biomechanical weapon nearly fills the 12 field cel. The piece is numbered 335 and A1 in the upper right corner.
