Offered here is an original hand-painted production cel from one of the most iconic scenes in Episode 19 of Neon Genesis Evangelion where Eva Unit 01 becomes the Beast. The revolutionary design of this character is credited to mechanical designer Ikuto Yamashita, who took inspiration from the oni, a Japanese mythological creature similar to a demon. The mech's bright green and purple color scheme is widely recognized and is wonderfully represented in this spectacular hand-painted production cel from Neon Genesis Evangelion. With a figure size of 10.25" x 8.25", Eva 01 occupies most of the space in the 12 field size production cel, numbered A1 in the top right corner. The cel shows light surface scuffing and presents minimal handling wear from production use. The condition of the cel is Very Good.
