Description
Neon Genesis Evangelion "A Man's Battle" Eva 01 and Zeruel Production Cel and "Ambivalence" Eva 00 Rough Animation Drawing (Gainax, 1996). Witness the striking fight between the Eva Unit 01 and the 14th Angel, Zeruel, with this astonishing hand-painted production cel from Neon Genesis Evangelion. This particular image appears at the 18:14 mark of the episode "A Man's Battle," during one of the most tense moments of the encounter, as the Eva 01 still holds the mask-like face of Zeruel just moments after it reaches the limit of its active time. Numbered A27 in the top right corner, the cel shows an image size of 10.25" x 7.5". Also included is a rough animation drawing of the Eva Unit 00 from the episode "Ambivalence," displaying the mech awaiting to shoot Bardiel, rendered in graphite on 12-field animation paper and measuring 8" x 25". Overall, the lot shows light handling and edge wear from production. Some fading can be seen on the cel's linework. The animation drawing presents light smudging and paint residue from the production cel and is in Good to Very Good condition. The cel is in Very Good conditionAuction Info
