Description
Muscle Tussle Daffy Duck Production Cel with Recreated Cels and Background Art (Warner Brothers, 1953). "Pyoo" says Daffy Duck when muscle-bound Hunky Duck balances himself with one finger on a pop bottle. In this original hand-inked, hand-painted cel, Daffy is about to try the trick himself (which ends in the cartoon with Daffy inside the bottle). Included with this trimmed screen-used production cel, seen in the short at about the 5:05 timestamp, are recreation cels of Hunky and the green pop bottle, all set on a custom hand-painted beach background. Robert McKimson directed this cartoon; it was first shown in theaters on 4/18/1953. Daffy's approximate size is 2.5" x 3.5"; the cel is double-framed with an image opening of 12" x 9" and is framed with glass for an overall size of 26.25" x 22.5". All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. A Linda Jones Certificate of Authenticity is on the backside of the frame. The trimmed cel is in Very Good condition with minor handling wear.Auction Info
