Description
Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol Magoo and Ghost of Christmas Future Production Cel Group (UPA, 1962). This group of five hand-painted 12 field 3-peghole cels feature Mr. Magoo (as Ebenezer Scrooge) and the fearsome Ghost of Christmas Future! Jim Backus (aka Thurston Howell III from Gilligan's Island) provided the voice for Magoo in television's first-ever animated Christmas special. There is a two cel setup that features a head-down Scrooge tugging on the Ghosts cloak, another cel features the robed specter himself, and there is another setup of two cels featuring a crying Scrooge and the bony-handed specter of Christmas-yet-to-come. The two cel setup as paint loss in the cloaked figure, otherwise all other cels are in Fine condition. Scrooge is 6" tall in one cel and 3.5" in another. A hidden bonus is that you can place one setup on the other cel and build the full figure of the Ghost of Christmas Past. More images at www.HA.com. In Fine condition, unless noted.Auction Info
