Mountain Dew Commercial Production Art with Drink Commercial Production Cel (Various Studios, c. 1980s-90s). Advertising art takes the spotlight in this group of production art, which features a piece of production art from a Mountain Dew commercial and a production cel from another drink commercial. The Mountain Dew piece is denoted as a black and white photograph which has been hand-tinted with oil paints. These photographs were then reshot in a stop-motion format to create an artistic and colorful ad for the drink. The piece consists of a photograph of three people which is hand-colored with oils, with a trimmed overlay of a hand holding a Mountain Dew bottle which has been similarly tinted. The piece is matted and framed with glass, with a matboard aperture of 8.5" x 7.5" and an overall frame size of 14" x 13". The next piece is an original, hand-painted production cel from a drink commercial that features a dog character wearing a suit and demonstrating the "easy open" cap of the beverage. The piece is matted and framed with glass, with a matboard aperture of 11" x 7.75" and an overall frame size of 15.25" x 12.75". Both pieces are in Very Good condition with some handling and edge wear, and the frames are sold as-is. The cel has some minor paint separation on the character's clothing.Auction Info
