Description

Mickey's Christmas Carol Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck Production Cel with Layout Cel Background (Walt Disney, 1983). "Merry Christmas!" Ebenezer Scrooge's nephew Fred (Donald Duck) cheerfully pops in to invite the old miser to his Christmas dinner as poor Bob Cratchit dutifully toils away in this original hand-painted multi-cel production setup. This well-received short, an adaptation of the Dickens holiday classic, was honored with an Oscar nomination; it marked the final time Clarence "Ducky" Nash voiced Donald. This is a handsome setup that has been laminated by the Disney Studio; however, the lamination has begun to separate, causing damage to the paint. Mickey's approximate size is 2.75" x 4.75", while Donald measures 2.5" x 4.25" and the door measures 1" x 7.75". The scene-matched background is a line art layout printed on acetate. The cel includes a Walt Disney Productions seal in the lower right. The cel is matted with an opening of 15" x 11" and is framed using glass for an overall size of 21.25" x 17.25". A Disney Certificate of Authenticity is included on the back side of the frame. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. The cel is in Fair condition due to lamination separation and paint loss.
