Mickey and the Seal Mickey Mouse and Salty the Seal Production Cel and Custom Background (Walt Disney, 1948). Mickey Mouse has a laugh at the antics of a seal at the zoo from the Charles Nichols-directed theatrical short Mickey and the Seal. Telling the adorable story of a seal that escapes the zoo and goes to live with Mickey, this classic was released on 12/3/1948. This hand-inked and hand-painted original production cel setup features Mickey and Salty the Seal. Salty only appeared in five Disney theatrical shorts, making this setup including an elusive 1940s Mickey an exciting and rare find for collectors. Mickey and Salty are trimmed to image and mounted on a custom background. Rendered in pastel on 12" x 9" brown paper. This is a fantastic vintage production cel setup! Production art from this short is arguably very rare. We've only seen a hand-full of production art from this short. Condition is Very Good.Auction Info
