Description

King Vitaman Production Cel (Jay Ward, 1968). If your mom wanted you to eat breakfast cereal that had a bit less sugar, you might have grown up with King Vitaman, which contained only 6 grams per serving of the sweet stuff, compared to Cap'n Crunch's 13 grams. Here's a real rarity for fans of these crown-shaped corn and oats clusters – a rare original hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of the first King Vitaman mascot, used on boxes and in animated commercials from the cereal's 1968 launch to 1971, when actor George Mann became the face behind the crunch. The cel, which appears to be from one of the earliest King Vitaman commercials, has an approximate image size of 3" x 4.5". The cel is matted and framed with glass for an overall size of 16.5" x 15". All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. The cel is in Very Good to Fine condition with light handling.
