Kiki's Delivery Service Osono and Kiki Production Cel Setup with Key Master Background (Studio Ghibli, 1989). "You should come and eat your meal while it's still warm. Here it is." The sweet Osono takes care of Kiki while she suffers a cold in this charming hand-painted original production cel setup from the Studio Ghibli classic Kiki's Delivery Service. Seen at the 1:03:02 mark of the film, this wonderful piece is displayed on its original Key Master background, rendered masterfully in gouache on background board. Backgrounds for Kiki's Delivery Service were created under the art director Hiroshi Ohno, who would go on to work on the renowned animated feature Jin-Roh. Encapsulating the quiet, introspective mood of the film, this beautiful piece measures an overall 14.5" x 10.25", and it shows minor handling and edge wear from normal studio use. The cels' pegholes are attached with tape, and some linework is faded. The background is numbered 686 in the upper right corner. An elaborate setup of a whopping eight cels, the piece as a whole is in Very Good condition.
