Jungle Cubs: Born to Be Wild Baloo and Shere Khan Production Cel Setup with The Jungle Book 2 23" Pan Master Background (Walt Disney, 1996/2003). "Noogie, noogie, noogie, haha!" If you're a fan of The Jungle Book, Jungle Cubs, or The Jungle Book 2, this lot is sure to drive you wild! Included is a 12 field production cel from Jungle Cubs: Born to Be Wild, a VHS compilation of three episodes with newly animated interstitial scenes of The Jungle Book characters reminiscing, and a gorgeous Master background on 23.75'' x 13'' board and 22'' pan overlay cel from The Jungle Book 2. The 9'' x 7'' hand-painted characters were created for roughly 6:06 in a compilation of interstitial scenes from the VHS. Baloo aggressively noogies Shere Khan, distracting him until the hive of bees falls over his head, and allows Mowgli to get to safety. These scenes were only in the VHS and later DVD release! If you're looking through The Jungle Book 2, the detailed gouache on board background appears at about 9:50 during the song "Jungle Rhythm". Background artists on the film included Nathan Hughes, Olivier Besson, Elaine Armstrong, Jak Ballantine, Milana Borkert, Berry Dean, and more. The production cel features a Disney TV seal and the background has a Disney TV stamp, both with production codes along the bottom edge. They are in Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear and are hard to find pieces of the extended Jungle Book universe!Auction Info
