Hunter x Hunter Wing, Gon, and Killua Production Cel Setup with Key Master Background, Animation Drawing, Timing Sheet, and Studio Envelope Group of 7 (Nippon Animation, c. 1999-2001). "Killua, you seem quite passionate about learning Nen. Any particular reason?" "Because it explains the secret of my brother's power." Seen at the 19:06 mark of the 38th episode of the hit classic shonen adventure series Hunter x Hunter, this is a fantastic hand-painted original production cel setup featuring Wing, Gon, and Killua. This magnificent complete setup captures the moment the heroes learn the four principal techniques of Nen: Ten, Zetsu, Ren, and Hatsu. The piece is composed of three 12 field cels displayed on the rare original Key Master production background rendered in gouache on board. Excitingly, the four principles of Nen can be seen on the white board element of the background. The setup is joined by four original matching animation drawing, rendered in graphite and color pencil on 12 field animation paper. The drawings are numbered A1End, A1, B3, and C3 in the upper right corners. In addition, this lot includes the studio envelope and timing chart for the scene. Overall minor handling and edge wear, and the cels show surface scuffing, wrinkling, and a vinegar smell. Staples at the top of the cels, and the condition overall is Fair to Good.
