Description
Hunter x Hunter Gon Production Cel and Animation Drawing (Nippon Animation, c. 1999-2001). Offered in this lot is a picture-perfect hand-painted original production cel featuring a dynamic action pose of the protagonist Gon from Hunter x Hunter. Telling the story of a young boy with aspirations to become a prestigious Hunter to reunite with his absentee father, Hunter x Hunter met with explosive popularity on its release. Based on the manga by Yoshihiro Togashi, Hunter x Hunter was adapted to anime in 1999 using traditional cel animation techniques. The series would be adapted again in 2011 by the studio Madhouse. This 12 field cel from the original series captures an excellent image of the hero. It is joined by its matching original rough animation drawing (or genga), rendered in graphite and color pencil on yellow correction animation paper. The cel is numbered B2 in the upper right corner, and it is displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes. Overall minor handling and edge wear with archival artist's tape at the top edge of the cel. The condition is Very Good.Auction Info
