Description
Hunter x Hunter Gon Freecss Production Cel and Animation Drawing (Nippon Animation, 1999). Gon Freecss grew up believing that his father was dead, but when he learns that his dad is very much alive and is part of an elite group of highly skilled individuals known as Hunters, Gon decides that he will also become a Hunter to reunite with his dad. Before he can move on with his dream, as a condition, his aunt and guardian, Mito Freecss, tasks Gon with capturing the Master of the Swamp, a gigantic fish that inhabits the swamps of Whale Island. This absolutely fantastic picture of Gon holding tight to his fishing rod as he tries to reel in the Master of the Swamp can be seen at the 16:23 mark of the first episode of the 1999 anime adaptation of Yoshihiro Togashi's manga Hunter x Hunter. Gon, attempting the same task that his dad accomplished when he was Gon's age, measures a great figure size of 9.5" x 6.75" on the hand-painted 12 field size production cel, numbered A14 in the top right corner. The included animation drawing, also numbered A14, is rendered in graphite with purple, green, blue, and tan pencils on 12 field-size animation paper. An iconic moment in the series, this cel is a must have for Hunter x Hunter fans! The animation drawing has some paint from the production cel, and both the cel and the drawing have very light handling wear from production use. The animation drawing is in Very Good condition, and the cel is in Fine condition.More information about Anime and Manga. See also: Japanese Anime, Unidentified Anime art, Manga Artist.
