Description
Herr Meets Hare Hermann Göring Production Cel on Master Production Background (Warner Brothers, 1945). It appears Hermann Göring has lost Bugs in this next-to-last Warner Brothers cartoon to feature WWII characters. In it, he takes a trip to the Black Forest to hunt rabbits and the rabbit he finds proves more "wascally" then expected. This is an original hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Hermann Göring in full Nazi Officer uniform from the 3:41 mark in the short. He stands 6" tall on a 12 field cel which is over a hand-painted Master background. The trimmed background is painted in gouache on board, measures 14" x 10" and the tree on the right which was originally part of an overlay cel has been applied with tape. This is an incredible one-of-a-kind setup from a Warner Brothers WWII-era short. The cel has some minor paint separation in the black areas and the background has tape residue and edge wear.
