    Description

Gulliver's Travels Production Cel and Master Background Setup (Max Fleischer, 1939). "Bombo, order your men to lay down their arms. Must I MAKE you listen?!" Gulliver pleads with both sides of the war between King Little and King Bombo. This is a rare hand-inked, hand-painted nitrate production cel setup of Gulliver with Bombo's boats. The cels are on a Master hand-painted production background. You can see these cels at about the 1:09 mark into the film. This was Fleischer's first animated feature film and was released on 12/22/39. Gulliver is a nice 5" pose. Colors on Bombo's boats are beautiful. Rare piece of animation history. Framed with Plexiglas and matted with an opening of 13" x 10". Fine condition.
