Description

Gulliver's Travels Gulliver, Gabby, and Lilliputians Trimmed Production Cel Setup with Key Master Production Background Attributed to Robert Little (Fleischer Studios, 1939). "Let me go! Help! Help! Let me go! I don't wanna die!" Presented in this lot is a stunning trimmed 16 field 3-peghole cel setup of Gulliver, Gabby, and four other Lilliputians on a Key Master production background from the 1939 feature film. The hand-inked and hand-painted cels are each trimmed meticulously to outline and attached to the stunning gouache background. Both the detailed background of Lilliput and the trimmed cels of Gulliver and Gabby can be found at about 39:29 as Gulliver wakes and lifts Gabby in his hand, curious about the place he's found himself in. The boards Gulliver is laying on have also been trimmed and are attached to the Key
Master background with staples and tape on the edge. These beautiful cels have been professionally restored and measure an impressive 13'' x 9'' combined while the logs measure roughly 16'' x 5.5''. The Key Master background includes production and scene notes with the name R. Little, attributing it to accomplished scenic artist Robert Little (1902 - 1994) who worked not only on this film but also iconic series like Popeye the Sailor. Good to Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear, light age-related toning, and some paint debris below the cel.
