Description
Golden Boy "Computer Studies" Kintaro Oe Pan-Sized Production Cel (A.P.P.P., 1995). "Kintaro Oe, twenty-five years old. Tokyo University of Law Dropout. However, he withdrew from school because he had mastered the entire curriculum. Since then, he has been changing jobs numerous times, learning about life, riding his favorite bike Crescent Moon, he keeps moving." Golden Boy protagonist Kintaro Oe pedals his way into a new learning adventure in this mind-blowing hand-painted production cel from the closing scene of the first episode of the series "Computer Studies." Based on the manga series by Tatsuya Egawa (who makes an appearance in the last episode), Golden Boy shows in its six episodes Kintaor's hilarious quest to keep learning. This astonishing two-layer 10.25" x 17.25" production cel, numbered C2 in the top right corner, shows a prime image of Kintaro pedaling away on his Crescent Moon, measuring a colossal image size of 7.75" x 15.25". The cel is displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes, and it is accompanied by the matching animation drawing created in graphite with colored pencils. Some paint residue can be seen on the lower area of the animation drawing. The top layer of the cel has the blur of Kintaro's bike's moving spokes and the linework presents some light fading. With overall minor handling and edge wear from production, the lot is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
