Description
Ghost in the Shell Operator Production Cel with Production Background and Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Production I.G., 1995). Integral members of Section 9, Operators are advanced robots taking multiple tasks to assist the operations of the intelligence department. Assisting with the logistics necessary to help capture the dangerous Puppet Master, the Operator featured in this lot can be seen at about the 54:59 mark of the ground-breaking anime film, Ghost in the Shell. The character measures 6.5" x 7.25" on the 14" x 9" production cel, numbered D6 in the top right corner. The cel is presented on a production background from a different production, rendered in gouache on background board, offering a complementing view of high-tech facilities. The lot includes the matching animation drawing for the Operator, done in graphite with colored pencil details, and a layout drawing for the background, also done in graphite with colored pencils. The production cel shows some fading ink in the linework. The animation drawing shows some paint from the production cel, and the layout drawing has red paint stains and toned tape on the top edge. The group is in Very Good condition overall, with the background layout drawing being in Good condition.More information about Production I.G..
