Description

Garfield in Paradise Garfield Production Cel Signed by Jim Davis and Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Film Roman, 1986). "For my first song, I'd like to sing something from my latest album, "The Best of Garfield Ho." Garfield imagines that he is a famous singer modeled after Don Ho in this scene from the Emmy-nominated special Garfield in Paradise. In this image from the cat's fantasy, he is decked in a slick white suit, Hawaiian shirt, and purple lei as he prepares to sing for a crowd of adoring fans, a moment which can be found at about the 2:51 mark of the special. Jim Davis himself said that Garfield in Paradise was his favorite Garfield special in the book Garfield at 25: In Dog Years I'd Be Dead. This fantastic original, hand-painted 12 field production cel features an image of the stylish orange cat measuring about 4.75" inches tall. The cel is paired with its matching original animation drawing, which has been created with graphite on 12 field animation paper. Both pieces are marked in their lower right corners with G23. The cel has been boldly signed by Jim Davis, the creator of Garfield! The condition of this incredible piece is Very Good, with just minor handling and edge wear.
From the Jim Davis Collection.
