Description
Garfield and Friends "Lights! Camera! Garfield!" Production Cel Setup (Film Roman, 1989). "I'll become a big star, and I'll earn the award that every actor dreams of, the A-Cat-Oh-Me award." In this episode of the show Garfield and Friends entitled "Lights! Camera! Garfield!", the iconic cat tries his paw at being a movie star when he is scouted by a movie producer. However, he discovers that he hasn't been cast as the star, but rather as the stunt double! This great image depicts Garfield as he fantasizes about receiving an "A-Cat-Oh-Me" award, a moment which can be seen at about the 16:05 mark of the episode. This great setup is composed of three original, hand-painted 12 field production cels with a combined image size of 7" x 7.75". The cels have been placed over a color print background from the show for presentation, and they are marked in their lower right corners with H14, G5, and A1. What a fantastic image of the cat all dolled up for Hollywood! The condition of this delightful piece is Very Good, with just minor handling and edge wear.From the Jim Davis Collection.
