Description
Galaxy Express 999 Maetel Production Cel (Toei Animation, c. 1978-81). From Leiji Matsumoto's legendary space opera classic Galaxy Express 999, this is a wonderful hand-painted original production cel of the beautiful and iconic Maetel. The instantly recognizable character measures 7.75" tall on the 10.5" x 9" cel. The piece is numbered 22-6 in the upper right corner, and it shows minor handling and edge wear from normal studio use. The linework shows fading with some smudging on Maetel's left side, and the condition is Good.From the Glad Museum Collection.
