Final Yamato New EDF Destroyer Production Cel with Custom Painted Background (Group TAC, 1983). For a lot of fans, Leiji Matsumoto is synonymous with space opera anime, and for good reasons, since this is the man behind big names such as Galaxy Express 999, Space Pirate Captain Harlock, and the supervisor for the companion film to the Daft Punk record Discovery, Interstella 5555. In this lot we have a beautiful example of the style of spaceship that he is most recognized for in his stories. The New EDF Destroyer ship is displayed with abundant mechanical detail in this production cel; it has an impressive image size of approximately 9.75" x 6.25, and numbered C58.
