Description
FernGully Stump and Root Production Cel Setup (Kroyer Films, 1992). Stump, Root, and the rest of Pips' cronies zoom around on their stag beetles in this excellent original production cel setup from the 1992 cult classic FernGully. The voice cast of FernGully agreed with the film's ecological message, and famously worked for scale wages during its production. Stump and Root were famously portrayed by Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong respectively, and the film marked the first time that both members of Cheech & Chong had worked together in six years. Cheech Marin said "It was just like old times, but we only worked for two or three hours, had a pizza and split." Bearing an official seal of director Bill Kroyer, this rare 16 field setup has a hand-painted image area of 11.5" x 5.75". Displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes, the piece is matted with a window size of 14" x 9" and an overall mat size of 20" x 16".
