Description

Father of the Bird Sylvester and Baby Bird Production Cel (Warner Brothers, 1997). "Where's there's feathers, there's birds. Where there's birds, there's breakfast!" says Sylvester the Cat in this cartoon. This theatrical cartoon was directed by Stephen Fossati and produced by Chuck Jones with color consulting by Maurice Noble. In the short, Sylvester is about to eat a sparrow egg when it hatches and the bird calls him mama. He then becomes the father and protects the newborn bird from all kinds of danger. This may be one of the single largest Sylvester cels we have seen. Great image measuring 9" on a full 16 field cel. The newborn bird is about 2.5". This cel can be seen around the 7:50 mark, where the newborn bird finally calls Sylvester papa, after calling him mama up until then. The cel is hand-signed by both Stephan Fossati and animation legend Mr. Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002). Minor handling. Very Good condition.
