Description
Fantastic Four Thor Production Cel and Animation Drawing (Marvel Studios, c. 1996-97). "Fear not, Benjamin Grimm! Thy plight has caught the eye of Thor, son of Odin!" The God of Thunder makes an exciting cameo appearance in the 19th episode of 1994's Fantastic Four series, "To Battle the Living Planet". This moment can be seen at the 9:30 mark, in which the Fantastic Four and Thor battle a horde of aliens. Voiced by none other than John Rhys-Davies, this Thor design has made cameo appearances in fan-favorite Marvel cartoons, including 1992's X-Men and 1996's The Incredible Hulk. A must-have for Thor fans, this rare hand-painted original production cel is accompanied by the original animation drawing. Thor is depicted large, measuring 11.75" x 7" on both pieces, and on the drawing he is rendered in graphite with blue, red, and yellow pencil highlights. Both the drawing and the cel show minor handling with the drawing showing light edge wear and staining. There is also a small tear in the left peghole of the drawing. The cel is displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes, and the overall condition of both pieces is Fine.Auction Info
