Description
Fantasia "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" Mickey Mouse as Sorcerer's Apprentice Production Cel with Custom Painted Background (Walt Disney, 1940). The iconic Mickey Mouse reprises one of his most famous roles in this lot, featuring a splendid hand-painted and hand-inked production cel from the Fantasia segment "The Sorcerer's Apprentice." Directed by James Algar, this part of the movie was paired with Paul Dukas' musical composition of the same title, featuring Mickey stealing the magical hat of the powerful sorcerer Yen Sid. This wonderful image of Mickey can be spotted at about the 34:38 mark of the film, measuring a figure size of 1.5" x 2.5". The cel is trimmed to image and mounted on a clear clear, and displayed on a 14.5" x 11" custom-painted background for presentation purposes. Some fading can be seen on the cel. Presenting mild handling and edge wear from production, the lot is in Good to Very Good condition.Auction Info
