Fantasia Ostrich Dancers Production Cel Setup (Walt Disney, 1940). The "Dance of the Hours" section opens with Ostrich head ballerina Madame Upanova. She wears the pink ballet slippers. This is a rare trimmed production cel of her Ostrich ballerina assistant dancers, who all wore blue ballet slippers and blue ribbons on their heads. This is from the opening scene when they begin to surround her in dance during the "Dance of the Hours." It can be seen around 1:01 into the scene. Great hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of three of the blue ballet slipper Ostriches, with nice full-figure images of 3". The cel is trimmed to image and placed on an airbrushed Courvoisier-style background; there is no white paper label, so we can't say for sure this indeed a Courvoisier. Matted with an opening of 5" x 5", framed with glass for an overall size of 9" x 9.5". Fine condition.
