Description
Fantasia Ave Maria Production Cel Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1940). The solemn scene that ends Fantasia has a line of hooded monks carrying candles as they walk single-file through the woods. It's an emotional ending to Disney's most ambitious animated film, one that sent chills down the spine of those in the darkened theater audience. Each cel image of the monk with his candle has been carefully trimmed and mounted to an airbrushed Courvoisier background, with an overlay cel with the foreground trees; a small WDP stamp can be found in the lower right. The setup measures approximately 13" x 10" unframed. The original Courvoisier sticker is attached to the backing board, which also includes a Disney copyright stamp.
