Dumbo The Five Crows Production Cel Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1941). "Did you ever see an elephant fly?" "Well, I've seen a horse fly." "Ah, I've seen a dragon fly." "Hee-hee. I've seen a house fly." This was the witty dialog by the five Crows: Jim Crow (aka Dandy Crow), Fats Crow, Preacher Crow, Glasses Crow, and Straw Hat Crow. This is a great hand-inked, hand-painted Courvoisier cel of all five Crows. These characters were magnificently animated by Ward Kimball. The cels are trimmed and placed on a Courvoisier hand-painted background. The original cream-colored mat with script writing is in the new frame. Nice image sizes of 3" - 5". All five Crows in one cel is rare. Some paint has stuck to the background and cels show curling with no paint on tiny section of cel due to sticking on background. Some restoration is required. Matted with an opening size of 10" x 8" and framed for an overall size of 17.75" x 17.5". Fair to Good condition.Auction Info
