Description
Dumbo Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1941). Dumbo's mother makes sure he washes behind his exceptional ears in this scene at the 17:13 mark of Disney's fourth animated feature film. At only 64 minutes, it is one of Disney's shortest movies and original artwork from it is particularly rare. Presented here is an on original hand-inked hand-painted production cel of the title character with his mother's trunk reaching in to help him wash behind his remarkable ears. The overall image size of 7" x 6" and includes a soap suds effects cel in the setup. The cels have been meticulously trimmed to the image and presented over a custom hand-painted airbrush background. Dumbo cels are highly sought after and ones this cute are every Disney collector's dream. This remarkably large and enchanting image shows evidence of minor restoration. The art is in a 15" x 18.5" frame under glass with a mat opening of 9" x 8". Condition is Very Good. Frame is sold as-is.Auction Info
