Dumbo Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1941). "The very things that held you down are gonna carry you up and up and up" says Timothy Mouse to little Dumbo. This was Disney Studios' fourth full-length feature film. Based on the book by Helen Aberson and illustrated by Harold Pearl, it was originally intended to be a short; however, Walt Disney felt that the only way to do the story justice was to make it into a feature. Here is an original hand-inked and hand-painted production cel of Dumbo flying in his clown make-up. The cel has been laminated and trimmed around the image. The paint on the 4" x 5" image of Dumbo is cracked, and will require major restoration. The art is presented over blue paper in a 7" x 9" frame. Condition is Good; the frame is sold as-is.
