    Description

Drawing On My Mind Production Cel Setup and Animation Drawing (Kurtz and Friends, 1985). "A man who was shot in the chest nine times yesterday and refused treatment -- died!" Here's an unusual original hand-inked, hand-painted 12 field 2-cel setup. Drawing on My Mind was a short cartoon based on George Carlin's wacky faux news reports, from one of his award-winning HBO specials. Carlin provided narration for the short, which can be seen online; this image comes in at about the 2: 32 mark. The overall image size is 3.25" x 5.5". The chair and room background is a color print, added for presentation purposes. Top cel is signed by animation director Bob Kurtz, as is the matching graphite animation drawing; both cel and drawing are noted as D11. Fine condition.
