Dragon Ball Z Vegeta Production Cel Group of 2 with Animation drawing and Production Background (Toei Animation, c. 1989-96). One of the most popular characters from Dragon Ball Z, the haughty Vegeta, is prominently featured in this lot with two spectacular images of the Saiyan Prince looking incredibly proud and utterly defeated. First showed in the anime series as a cameo in the episode "Reunions," Vegeta has seen a great transformation across the series, beginning as one of the most formidable villains and turning into a powerful ally. The two-layer production cel that features the face of Vegeta, confidently smiling, showcases the character measuring 9.5" x 7.5", providing an exemplary portrait of the Saiyan on the 12-field production cel. Numbered A2 in the top right corner, Vegeta is seen bruised and scratched, measuring a figure size of 10" x 6.25", offered on a production background, possibly from a different series. The animation drawing of Vegeta has adhered to the back of the production cel that features the character's face, and its layers are stapled together and to the drawing by the top edge. The production background has adhered to the back of the cel A2 and has a piece missing from the bottom right corner. The cels show some fading on the linework. Overall, the lot shows some handling and edge wear from production, and the condition is Good.
