Description
Dragon Ball Z "Recoome Unleashed" Vegeta Production Cel with Custom Painted Background (Toei Animation, 1990). Enraged by his opponent's taunting, Vegeta prepares to unleash his concealed power in this lot with an astonishing hand-painted production cel from Dragon Ball Z. This image appears at the 5:33 mark of the episode "Recoome Unleashed," just after Recoome mocks him, suggesting that he should get help from Gokan and Krillin, greatly underestimating the power of the Saiyan. Presenting the character render in the emblematic style of the episode's chief animator, Minoru Maeda, this outstanding image of the angry Vegeta with his broken armor features the fan-favorite character measuring an impressive image size of 10.25" x 8.25" on the 12-field cel, numbered A2. The cel is featured on a custom-painted background trimmed to the approximate dimensions of the cel, rendered in gouache on board. The cel has tape residue on the top edge, fading linework, and overall, light handling and edge wear from production. The custom-printed background shows some surface scuffing.
