Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan Goku Production Cel with Animation Drawing (Toei Animation, 1993). "Hey, Goku, that was quick! What's with that outfit?" King Kai certainly wouldn't be asking Goku such a question if he could see Chichi's face. From the 8th film in the series, Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan, comes an original production cel of Earth's savior Goku, uncharacteristically dressed in a 3-piece suit and tie. Having just absconded from parent interviews for his son Gohan's cram school acceptance, Goku uses his instant transmission to answer King Kai's call for aid, leaving Chichi to handle the interview process solo. This frame can be spotted around the 8:12 mark, Goku having just arrived at King Kai's side and wholly ready to strip off the stuffy suit in favor of his traditional orange gi. Seated and nearly full-figured, our professionally dressed hero measures 7.5" x 8.5" with a fantastically cheery expression on this 12 field hand-painted cel. Accompanying the cel is its matching original production drawing featuring only the torso and mouth on 12 field animation paper, rendered in graphite and colored pencils. Both the cel and drawing include the production code A2 in the top right. The cel shows light handling wear from production including curling and minor fading to the Xeroxed linework, and the drawing shows minor paint transfer. Overall, Very Good condition.
