Description

Dragon Ball Z Bardock - The Father of Goku Bardock Production Cel with Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Toei Animation, 1990). "I got to warn the others. I gotta stop him somehow. Can't give up. Got to keep..." Faced with the horrible realization that Frieza intends to destroy all Saiyans, Bardock races to warn the rest of the plans of the galactic dictator. The dramatic image of the wounded Bardock showcased in this lot comes from the TV special Dragon Ball Z: Bardcok - The Father of Goku, right at the 32:33 timestamp, while the powerful warrior struggles to stay awake. Released on October 17, 1990, the special saw the story of Goku's father and his tragic demise as Frieza obliterates most Saiyans. The hand-painted production cel has a blood-soaked Bardock measuring an image size of 10" x 7.25" on the two-layer 12-field production cel, accompanied by the matching animation drawings of Bardock's body and eyes, numbered A-3 and B-3 in the top right corner, done in graphite with colored pencil details. The production cel shows fading on the linework; it has both layers slightly adhered together and taped by the top edge and has minor surface scratches that don't affect the art. In Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear from production.
