Description

Dragon Ball King Kami and King Piccolo Production Cel Production Cel Group of 2 (Toei Animation, c. 1986-89). Complete opposites from each other, but once the same person, King Kami and King Piccolo are featured in this lot with two astonishing hand-painted production cels from the emblematic anime series Dragon Ball. Revisiting the origin story of Piccolo in Dragon Ball Z, it was revealed that the character, a reincarnation of King Piccolo, was once an unnamed Namekian who separated his evil side from his body, creating the two entities known as King Kami and King Piccolo. Greatly surprised, King Kami is presented on its production cel measuring 8" x 8" on the cel numbered A5 in the top right corner, while the aged King Piccolo is seen measuring 9.75" x 7.75". Both cels are featured on printed backgrounds for presentation purposes. King Piccolo's cel has been trimmed. The cels both present minor curling and light fading on the linework. Presenting light handling and edge wear from production, the lot is in Very Good condition.
