Description

Dragon Ball GT Goku Production Cel with Custom Painted Background and Animation Art (Toei Animation, c. 1996-97). Originally appearing during the last arc of Dragon Ball GT, the momentous Super Saiyan 4 form granted its user the colossal power of the Golden Great Ape without the untamed nature of the bestial form. The transformation was designed by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru and was seen for the first time in the Episode "Back in the Game" from Dragon Ball GT. We have in this lot a great portrait of Goku in Super Saiyan 4, showing the character's fierce gaze. The hand-painted production cel shows Goku measuring 9.75" x 7.75" on the 12 field sized production cel, numbered A5 in the top right corner and presented on a custom painted background measuring 10.5" x 9". The matching animation drawing presents the powerful character rendered in graphite with colored pencil shadings, highlights, and details, done on 12 field sized animation paper. The production cel shows fading on the linework and light surface scuffing that doesn't affect the art. The animation drawing has foxing on the top edge, a small paint stain near the bottom edge, and tape with extra pieces of paper on the left edge. With light handling and edge wear from production, the condition is Very Good.
