Dragon Ball GT: A Hero's Legacy Goku Jr. Production Cel Setup with Key Master Background (Toei Animation, 1997). Many years after the defeat of the Shadow Dragons, we are introduced to Goku Jr, the grandson of Pan. Looking just like his ancestor, Goku, the protagonist of the special Dragon Ball GT: A Hero's Legacy is a kind-hearted boy determined to go on a journey to find the legendary Dragon Ball after his grandmother falls ill. Presented in this lot is a marvelous production cel featuring Goku Jr. holding the 4-star Dragon Ball that famously belonged to his ancestor, Goku. This phenomenal image shows up at about the 44:03 mark of the special, and it has Goku Jr. measuring 8.25" x 7.25" on the hand-painted 12 field sized production cel, numbered B9 in the top right corner. The cel is presented on a gorgeous custom painted background, and is accompanied by its matching animation drawing, with the character rendered in graphite with colored pencil shading. The cel shows fading ink on the linework and it has adhered to the background. Included is an exposure sheet from the production of the special.
