Donald Duck and J. Audubon Woodlore Art Corner Production Cel (Walt Disney, c. 1960s)....
Description
Donald Duck and J. Audubon Woodlore Art Corner Production Cel (Walt Disney, c. 1960s). This original vintage production cel features Donald Duck alongside the fussy but clever J. Audubon Woodlore, the beloved park ranger of Brownstone National Park. While the exact short is unknown, the pair appeared together in classics such as Grin and Bear It (1954), where Woodlore introduced Donald to Humphrey the Bear, and Beezy Bear (1955), where Donald tended his beehives while Humphrey schemed under the ranger's watchful eye. Donald, ever the scrappy quacker with a fiery temper, contrasts perfectly with Woodlore's orderly, bureaucratic personality, making their interactions endlessly entertaining. The cel is hand-painted on trimmed 12-field acetate and paired with a color card background, then matted to 12" x 9". Originally sold through Disneyland's Art Corner Store (1955-1966), this piece retains its original gold foil Art Corner label on the back. The Art Corner was renowned for offering authentic Disney production artwork, making these pieces highly desirable to collectors. Presented in Good condition with the matboard exhibiting surface wear, smudging and edge wear. This production cel is a charming artifact that unites two of Disney's most memorable personalities.Auction Info
