Doctor Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas Production Cel Setup (MGM, 1966). "He didn't stop Christmas from coming... it came! Somehow or other... it came just the same!" An amazing multi-cel setup of the Grinch, Max, the sleigh, and that enormous bag stuffed with Whoville presents and decorations, all measuring about 8" long. One cel has a great sound effects painting, and there is a trail of pink snow beneath the sleigh. This is right after the Grinch's eyes change from red to blue, when he finally understands the true meaning of Christmas, occurring at the 23:46 mark. The setup is placed over a print background for presentation purposes. A Linda Jones seal is on one cel, and a Linda Jones COA is included. The cel also includes an estate plate Chuck Jones signature. Fine condition. Let the trumpets blow! From the Chuck Jones Archives.
