    Doctor Seuss' Horton Hears A Who Production Cel and Key Master Background Setup (MGM, 1970). "The World is a sitting on an elephant's nose!" sing the residents of Whoville. This is a rare hand-painted production cel of the Whoville people singing on its Key Master hand-painted production background. Chuck Jones directed this CBS TV special, which premiered on 3/19/70. Maurice Noble was the Art Director and Hans Conried was the special's narrator. Key Master setups from this cartoon are very rare. You can see this piece at around the 9:08 mark into the cartoon, during the "Elephant's Nose" song segment. Background is marked #7757 BG d-6A in top margins. The cel is marked D6A as well. Minor handling; Fine condition.
